Text wrap in Adobe InDesign

1. So, you’ve got a text box and an illustration. And you want the text to wrap around the illustration to give the page a dynamic and fresh look. Create a text box and fill it with anything. Then create the illustration and place them like I’ve done.

2. Then drag select both the text box and the illustration and bring up the “Text Wrap” window. If it’s not active, just go to “Window” and select “Text Wrap”. Or you can use the shortcut ALT-CTRL-W.

3. To wrap the text around the illustration. Make sure that both the text box and the illustration are selected. Then choose “Wrap around object shape” in the “Text Wrap” window.

4. Play around with the settings to adjust the offset just the way you want it. Now, go make those cool looking magazine features!
